An Update…

Ok, yeah, its been a while since a good update.  Its been a busy few weeks…  no excuse I know.  We have been doing all sorts of things, but don’t have much news.  Jen went back to the doctor this week.  She’s on the every two weeks rotation now.  Everything is looking really good.

Peyton is getting more and more active.  She’s kicking and pushing on the belly.  Its really cool to feel that sort of thing.  Last night, our power went out because of a storm, so we just laid there and felt her kicking and moving. 

We have been working in the nursery some.  Most of the big stuff is there, now.  Jen has two baby showers coming up.  Invitations have either gone out or are going out for them now.   We’ll be adding a section called showers to the site and we’ll upload photos from them. 

The first shower is this weekend.  Our friend, Trina, is throwing the one on Saturday.  It’ll be at the house so everyone can see the nursery. 

The second shower is being thrown by another friend, Nancy, that Jen used to work with.  Its next Saturday, the 12th.  That one is at our house too…

We visited Cheraw this past weekend and got to see all our family there.  There’s another shower in the works for up there sometime the first of October.  Jen is really excited about all of this… 

What was waiting…

Well, we had a surprise waiting on our doorstep when we arrived home today.  No, not the stork brought kind… We had a gift from The Giris (Leslie’s parents) in Florida.  They sent a very cool bouner…  We haven’t opened it or set it up yet, but we included a photo so you could see…  Thanks Bruno & Marelene!!

Our friends, Brianne and Tammy are in town until Sunday. Jen and I had lunch with Tammy today at Vittles in Conway. It was good country cooking…

Brianne and Tammy came over to the house to see the nursery. Jen gave them the grand tour before I got home for the night. Tammy had a baby gift for us. She gave us a really nice set of Winney the Pooh clothes for Peyton, baby size hangers and a purple onesie.
We had dinner tonight with Brianne, Tammy and Coreen. We all went to Miyabi’s Japanese and we all ate too much. How can’t you there?

First Gifts

Over the weekend, we received our first baby gifts. Tammy stopped by on Saturday and had a couple of things for us… The first was baby’s first Easter basket. Won’t be able to use it for a couple of years, but its really sweet. The other was a pillow that says “A Baby is God’s Opinion that the world should go on.”

On Sunday, we had dinner with Nancy and Rob and they surprised us with a gift too. They gave us Baby’s first Winnie the Pooh. We’ve added photos below.
