Bathroom remodel complete

We’ve finally completed the bathroom remodel process.  Peyton finally has a bath tub to use for her every night.  It took a couple tries before she was comfortable in there.  Now she’s enjoying her baths – she even knows what to call it now.  We had everything mostly together before the party, but we finished up the last touches this week afterwards.  We still have some final decorations to finish, but everything is up and running properly – with no leaks.  We would have never been able to finish this without my dad and Brett’s help… so a BIG thank you to them!  All in all, it turned out great.  Should be something that we can enjoy for years to come…

Sellersfest 2008

Another year, another name…  Gotta keep it fresh I guess.  We had our annual cookout/pool party at the house on Saturday.  This year was particularly fun with a lot of youngins.  They seemed to have multiplied over last few years.  I also invited more people from my work this year, so it was nice to get to kick back and hang out with them outside of the office.  We did our normal hamburger and hot-dogs and everyone brought side dishes.  We thought the rain might put a damper on things, but by about 2 pm, the clouds were moving out and we had sun for the rest of the afternoon.  Peyton was a prefect hostess and enjoyed playing with all of her friends.  We’ve posted photos to enjoy

A late anniversary Melting Pot adventure

Tonight we celebrated our anniversary, very late.  You see, our anniversary was June 1, and we just weren’t able to make time to celebrate it.  We’ve had so much going on that we didn’t take the time to enjoy another milestone.  But, with Jess and Freddy coming in, we decided it was time to use that Melting Pot gift certificate that Jen won on the radio (yes, I know – she’s the queen of winning free stuff on the radio!).

The food was FANtastic!  It was a perfect treat.  We enjoyed 4 course of fondue.  The dessert was probably our favorite, but none of it was bad.  And we probably ran off a few tables while we laughing and swaping war stories from our years of marriage.  Oh, did I mention that this was celebrating Jess and Freddy’s anniversary too?  I can’t think of a better way to enjoy the evening than with friends we haven’t had a chance to hang with in a while.

Playtime with Daphne

We had a special treat this week.  Jess and Freddy are in town from San Diego for a visit.  Jess called Jen last week to let her know that they were flying in for a visit.  Today, Peyton got to meet Daphne for the first time.  We went over to Jess’s parents and the girls got to meet and play together for a little while.  Jen and I then got the pleasure of bringing Jess and Freddy to Sonic – something they have missed since they’ve been on the other side of the country.  They “don’t eat fast food”, but they love Sonic… ;-)

We took the girls to a park afterwards and let them play for a while longer.  They both had a great time.  The pictures speak for themselves
